The state has denied claims that one Kenyan was killed in tribal clashes at the Moyale border in Ethiopia. Marsabit county commissioner Magu Mutindika denounced the claims saying they were just propaganda. Speaking to Sifa FM through the phone, Mutindika said that had a Kenyan been killed in Ethiopia, his body would have been transported to the country for burial.

He added that the Kenya Defence Forces are patrolling the border along Moyale and its environs. He also added that a thorough search for the livestock stolen at Moite is still ongoing.
