Police in North Horr sub-county in Marsabit County continue to search for cattle rustlers who are said to have stolen livestock from Moite on the night of 5th September.
Speaking to Sifa FM Marsabit through the phone, the deputy commissioner in North Horr, Job Kemei said that they received reports from the public that the rustlers attacked Moite and stole an unknown number of livestock including camels, goats and sheep.
Kemei pointed out that they are yet to ascertain the correct number of livestock stolen. He added that they had already communicated with the police in Loiyangalani who still have no information on the attack.
The deputy commissioner also said that they are yet to receive full details on the attack.
However, Kemei informed that not long ago, they recovered 14 donkeys and 20 camels which had been stolen in Moite and Qorka respectively and they expect to hand them back to their owners soon.
